WINTER HOLIDAY IN NORWAY - CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

WINTER in Espedalen - is winter in one of the areas in Norway that has the best and richest tradition of cross-county skiing, and boasts a 220 kilometers of groomed runs in forests and mountains. You can choose from machine groomed, double tracked trails; simple snowscooter trails; or even those you make yourself!
This is as close to nature as you can get!

Hulderbu, Bingsbu and Tonebu warming huts are popular destinations when out skiing, and they are open year-round to our guests to use at no charge.

Large, heated ski stall for the hotel’s guests, connected directly to the hotel.
The Skirental is found in the same part of the building.

Dalseter has a little alpine hill right outside the hotel for those who wish to try out their alpine skills.

Ski school for all disciplines – for beginners and advanced.
Practice field for cross-country at the hotel, as well as a short lit ski trail.

Our activity coordinator has individual weekly programs with activities for children and adults all winter long.

Together with former XCuk & Waymark leaders we are offering a very popular
GB Nordic Programme as we have since winter 2015.
Within the weeks with the GB Nordic hosts/leaders present at Dalseter - they offer skiing in groups for both track and off track cross country skiers at different levels.

We also very much welcomes independant travellers as well - that want to do their “own” thing skiing during their holiday :)

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Dalseter is situated in Espedalen/ Gudbrandsdalen - and is one of the ski destinations in Norway with the longest traditions.

The area is located in the high mountains 800-1500 metres above sea level, west of the Gudbrandsdalen valley and just one hour´s drive north of Lillehammer.

The area offers magnificent panoramic views, impressive sunsets, a stable climate and very reliable snow conditions.

There are long and short trails for all levels of skiing proficiency - tracks for family-friendly short trips, tracks passing through sheltered forest terrain and also tracks up in the high mountains, offering spectacular views of the national parks Rondane and Jotunheimen.

Along the tracks at several sites there are small huts, where you can stop to enjoy your lunch-pack and have something warm to drink.

DALSETER SKI LIFT

Dalseter has a ski hill straight outside the hotel. The hill is about 750 meter long, with a height difference of 140 meter from top to bottom.

The hill is what we call a ‘family slope’, which means it is well suited for those who haven’t done much downhill skiing or snowboarding before.

DALSETER SKILIFT is a Pomalift. ("Button lift")
