WINTER in Espedalen -
– is winter in one of the areas in Norway that has the best and richest tradition of cross-county skiing, and boasts a 220 kilometers of groomed runs in forests and mountains. You can choose from machine groomed, double tracked trails; simple snowmobile trails; or even those you make yourself!
This is as close to nature as you can get!

Bingsbu and Tonebu warming huts are popular destinations, and they are open year-round to our guests to use at no charge.

Dalseter has a little alpine hill right outside the hotel for those who wish to try out their alpine skills. (The descent is 750 m, with an alt. change of 140 m.)

Ski Rentals rents equipment for cross-country, alpine, and telemark skiing and snowboarding. We also have snowshoes for children and adults, and pulks: fiber glass sleighs that Norwegian families use to bring the small ones along on their cross-country ski trips with snug warm comforters that fit inside.

Large, heated ski stalls for the hotel’s guests, connected directly to the hotel. Ski school for all disciplines – for beginners and advanced.

Practice field for cross-country at the hotel, as well as a short lit ski trail.

Our activity coordinator has individual weekly programs with activities for children and adults all winter long: canyoneering in “Hell”; Wilderness Club for Kids; sleigh rides, snowshoeing excursions, etc.
