Here at Dalseter we have a stable and accomplished staff. Most of the staff live in the valley, and most of them have been with us for many years. The staff know the guest and the guests know the staff, they become old friends and look forward to seeing each other again.

In wintertime we get “backup” from Denmark – amongst others Knud and Pia who have been with us every winter since 1996. They are avid cross-country skiers, and feel free to ask them about the ski-trails or suggestions on where to go on your outings.

In addition we have a fine group of youngsters from around the valley who loyally comes and works for us weekends and vacations. For us it means a lot to have people who know the hotel and the area, and we are very happy that so many choose to stay with us for many years.

The hosts of Dalseter are the Gillebo family, who live here all year.
Erik and Elsa Gillebo took over the hotel in 1974 after Øivind and Alvilde Lande, and stayed as hosts until 1997. Now Bjørn and Turid Gillebo together with Grethe Gillebo and Arnt Ove Voldbakken own and run the place. The siblings Bjørn and Grethe are thereby the third generation of hosts at Dalseter.
