NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:
There are 3 -10 participants on our trips. We can arrange larger groups by appointment.

AGE LIMITS:
Small trip around the hotel with horse led by another person. We expect parents to help until children are confident enough to ride by themselves.
Age limit 3 years.
Instruction in the arena. Adults/parents to help small children until children are confident enough to ride by themselves. Age limit 6 years.
1 hour trip. Age limit 8 . Experienced riders from 6 years can however participate on one hour trips, this must be agreed on in advance.
2-3 hours trip. Age limit 12 years. Experienced riders from 8 years can however participate on 2-3 hour trips, this must be agreed on in advance.
Riding packages: Age limit 12 years

EXPERIENCE:
For hand led tours & instruction we require no experience. For those who have ridden a little but do not feel to confident in how to handle the horse, we advise an hour instruction on our riding ground before taking trips in the mountains. On our 1 and 2 - 2 1/2 hour trips we sometimes divide our groups in experienced and inexperienced riders. To join with the experienced riders you have to be comfortable in a trot & gallop.
For the longer trips and programs you must be comfortable in a trot and have riding experience.

EQUIPMENT
You are provided with all the necessary equipment for your riding trip. Use of a helmet is obligatory for all riders at Dalseter. You can be provided with one of ours or bring your own. Safety wests for children also obligatory, use your own or one of ours. Footwear should be over ankle height, with a heel and without too deep tread. Avoid trousers with thick seams (jeans).
Take warm clothes and waterproofs – the weather changes quickly in the mountains.

JOINING THE TRIP: Meet up at least 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start. The trips starts and finish at the stables.

BEHAVIOUR TOGETHER WITH THE HORSES: Be calm and relaxed, remember that horses are animals and might react on sudden movements or unexpected noise.
