The food

Mmmmmm....

Food is important – and with long days out in the mountain walking or skiing it’s good to gather new strength in the dining hall. At Dalseter we focus on Norwegian food traditions by serving good, homemade Norwegian food – while we also open up to new tastes and opportunities through inspiration from other countries.

BREAKFAST – Summer and winter 08.00 – 10.00
For breakfast we have a Norwegian buffet with a varied offering of jams, salami, cheese, oatmeal porridge, different kinds of cereal, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt etc. Coffee, tea, milk, juice and an assorted selection of bread are complimentary.

LUNCH – Summer and winter 13.30 - 14.30
The lunch table at Dalseter is one of the things our guests appreciate the most. This is one of the “old fashioned” traditional lunch tables with many hot and cold dishes. Salad bar. Different desserts. Coffee and tea.

SUPPER– Summer 19.00 o’clock / Winter 18.30
Usually we serve a three course supper in the evening all year through. This is a standard menu that varies through the week. On some wednesdays however we serve “a taste of Espedalen” – a small buffet with warm and cold food that has been a tradition in our part of Norway. This is something both our Norwegian and foreign guest appreciate.

SPECIAL DIET?

If you have diabetes, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance or other conditions requiring a special diet – we will do our best to meet your needs. Please let us know in advance, so we can make sure we have everything we need.

VEGETARIAN?
We often receive vegetarians, and the kitchen also offers vegetarian dishes. Please let us know when you order, and kindly inform us if you if you eat dairy, fish or eggs.
