ICE CANYONING IN HELVETE
Experience Northern Europe’s biggest potholes dressed for winter. The ground water seeps through the very stonewalls of Helvete all year. During winter the water freezes, and creates magnificent ice formations that are different every winter. We drive down from the hotel to Helvete by car (appr. 18km) and walk with snow shoes down through the ravine that was formed when the ice melted after the last ice age about 10 000 years ago. The trip is not too challenging for most people. This tour is arranged once a week. Price includes snowshoes and transportation to and from Helvete. Lasts about three hours.

CHILDRENS WILDLIFE CLUB- activity for children from 6 - 12 years.
The children come out into the forest and up to our lavvo approximately 400 meters from the hotel. They learn to look for animal tracks in the forest, find firewood and make a campfire. Last about 1 ½ hour

ICE-SCULPTURES - activity for children from 3 years and up.
The activity extends over two afternoons. Day one: The children fill different shapes with water, mix different colours and leave it to freeze. Day two, the shapes are brought back, and the children build great sculptures outside the dining room and place candles inside. Lasts about ½ an hour both afternoons.

"SEE ESPEDALEN WAKE UP " - MORNING TRIP TO ELDBJØRGHAUGEN.
Suitable for everyone. We start about 6.00 am and walk on snowshoes through the forest to Elbjørgshaugen. On the way we will look for animal tracks and other signs that animals have been there. If we’re lucky we might see moose or large birds. We’re back in time for breakfast at the hotel.

SUNSET TRIP TO ELDBJØRGHAUGEN. Suitable for everyone .
Same as the morning walk, but this time we go out after lunch so we can enjoy the view and sunset from the top of Elbjørgshaugen. We’re back before dinner.
